What is sold with a house, and whether attached things count as ground
Overview
The amud opens with the last words of the משנה: if the seller says 'the house and everything in it,' everything is sold. The גמרא first asks whether the משנה can follow רבי מאיר, who says selling a vineyard includes its tools. The answer that only fixed tools are included is rejected, because the משנה lists the key right next to the door. So the גמרא concludes that the משנה does not follow רבי מאיר. Next, a ברייתא lists what comes with a house and what does not, and רבי אליעזר says anything attached to the ground counts as ground. A second ברייתא teaches that a pipe carved before being attached invalidates a מקוה, but one attached first and carved later does not. The גמרא asks whose view this is, since it seems to fit neither רבי אליעזר nor רבנן. It rules out the house case, which may only be about how generously a seller sells, and turns to רבי אליעזר's beehive ruling, a discussion that continues on the next amud.
