The duct-and-מקוה ברייתא following the רבנן, רב יוסף's question about rainwater on fixed millstones, and the start of a message sent to נהרדעא

Overview

The amud opens by finishing an earlier question: whose opinion is behind the ברייתא about a duct that feeds water into a מקוה? The גמרא rejects the attempt to fit it to רבי אליעזר in two ways. First, the rule of שאובין is itself only דרבנן. Second, according to רבי יוסי בן רבי חנינא, the baker's board dispute was about a metal board, which is a כלי by Torah law. So the גמרא answers that the ברייתא follows the רבנן, who are lenient here because שאובין is only rabbinic. The גמרא then asks why a duct hollowed out first is still disqualified. It answers that such a duct was already a כלי while it was detached. Next, רב יוסף asks whether rainwater an owner wanted on his fixed millstones makes the seeds on them מוכשר לקבל טומאה. The גמרא explains that this question only arises according to the רבנן, and it ends with תיקו. Finally, a new story begins: רב נחמיה בריה דרב יוסף sends a message to נהרדעא about a woman, and the message continues on the next amud.
