Can food that is אסור בהנאה (forbidden to benefit from) become impure as food (טומאת אוכלין)? The argument between the תנא קמא and רבי שמעון, and how it applies to a מנחה that became פיגול.
Overview
A ברייתא lists foods that are forbidden even for benefit and asks whether they can still get טומאת אוכלין, the impurity that food receives. The תנא קמא says yes. רבי שמעון says no, except for בשר בחלב, which was once fit to eat (שעת הכושר). רבי יוחנן explains רבי שמעון's source: only food you may give to others counts as food. רבי אושעיא applies this to a מנחה that became פיגול, saying it gets no טומאת אוכלין. The גמרא challenges him from a ברייתא where רבי שמעון rules that a פיגול מנחה does get it. The answer is that it depends on whether the flour was ever fit, for example wheat made holy while still growing never was. The גמרא then asks whether the owner's ability to redeem the flour, or a מצוה to sprinkle blood, counts as if it already happened. It works this out through the cases of the פרה אדומה and meat left overnight before sprinkling. The amud ends by opening a new challenge from animal offerings made פיגול, which continues on the next amud.

וְצִפּוֹרֵי מְצוֹרָע וּפֶטֶר חֲמוֹר

וּבָשָׂר בְּחָלָב
and meat cooked with milk,
כּוּלָּם מִטַּמְּאִין טוּמְאַת אֳכָלִין.
all of them become impure with the impurity of food.
