Why the blood of the פר and the שעיר on יום כיפור does not cancel itself out: is it because both go on the מזבח (עולין), or because they are the same kind (מין במינו)?

Overview

This amud finishes explaining a מחלוקת between רבנן and רבי יהודה about the פסוק where the blood of the פר and the שעיר on יום כיפור are mixed and put on the מזבח. רבנן learn from it that things that go up on the מזבח (עולין) do not cancel each other out. רבי יהודה learns that a substance mixed with its own kind (מין במינו) is never cancelled. The גמרא tests each reading. Maybe the real reason is the other feature. Each side answers that the פסוק's case points to its own reason. But for each side the גמרא asks whether maybe both features are needed together, and it can only answer קשיא. Then the גמרא brings a משנה where רבי יהודה rules that a קומץ mixed with certain מנחות is פסול because the thick and loose mixtures absorb from each other. It asks: if oil absorbs oil, that is מין במינו, so why should it matter? That challenge continues on the next amud.
