Overview

The amud opens with the חביתין of the כהן גדול in a case where he died and no replacement was appointed yet. In that case a full tenth of סולת is brought both morning and afternoon. The גמרא asks whether the לבונה is doubled according to רבנן, and whether the oil is doubled according to both opinions. רבא tries to prove from the משנה of "five קמצין" that the לבונה is not doubled, and the proof goes back and forth. רב נחמן בר יצחק then brings a ברייתא with exact amounts. The גמרא shows the ברייתא follows אבא יוסי בן דוסתאי and concludes that for רבנן too neither the לבונה nor the oil is doubled. רבי יוחנן rules like אבא יוסי בן דוסתאי. When this seems to clash with his rule to follow a סתם משנה, the גמרא answers that two אמוראים reported his view differently. After the הדרן for פרק התכלת, a new משנה teaches that all מנחות are מצה except the חמץ loaves of the תודה and the שתי הלחם. רבי מאיר, רבי יהודה and the חכמים then argue about how to leaven those loaves. The גמרא begins by asking for the source that all מנחות are מצה, and רבי אמי starts his answer, which continues on the next amud.
