Waiting periods for a נזיר with mixed doubtful and definite טומאה and צרעת, and רבי שמעון בן יוחאי's teaching that one shaving cannot count for both a נזיר and a מצורע.
Overview
The amud opens by finishing the condition a doubtful נזיר says over his עולה. If he was simply a pure נזיר, the first עולה was the required one and this one is a gift. If he was טמא and a confirmed מצורע, this one is the required one. Next the גמרא lists three cases that mix doubtful or definite טומאת מת with doubtful or definite צרעת. For each case it says when he may eat קדשים and when he may drink wine and become טמא למת. Then רבי שמעון בן יוחאי's students ask whether a נזיר who is also a מצורע can shave once and have it count for both. He says no. The students suggest one pairing of shavings after another. Each time he points to a difference: removing hair versus growing it, shaving before versus after זריקת דמים, and shaving before versus after immersion. The amud ends with his summary of why no single shaving can serve both statuses.
