Overview

The משנה rules that for a נערה המאורסה, if only the father or only the husband nullifies her נדר, it stays in force, and even more so if one of them ratified it. The גמרא first asks why this is needed, since the משנה's opening line already said 'her father and her husband nullify.' It answers that we might have read that line as 'father OR husband.' Next it asks why the משנה mentions ratifying, when one person nullifying alone already fails. The answer is a special case: one nullified, the other ratified and then had a חכם cancel his ratification. Even then both must actually nullify together. The גמרא then asks for the תורה source that both the אב and the בעל annul a betrothed girl's vows. רבה brings the פסוק 'And if she will be to a man, and her vows are upon her.' The גמרא suggests this פסוק is about a married woman, answers that a married woman has her own פסוק, and then challenges that both פסוקים might be about a married woman, with the second teaching that a husband cannot annul earlier vows. The reply comes on the next amud.
