Why פיגול and נותר make hands טמא, and the minimum size for that טומאה; then a new משנה on whether the ברכה over the קרבן פסח covers the חגיגה (זבח) and vice versa

Overview

This amud first finishes a discussion from the previous daf about why פיגול and נותר make the hands טמא. The גמרא shows that רב הונא and רב חסדא do not really argue about the reason. One explained the decree for פיגול, because of כהנים suspected of ruining קרבנות on purpose. The other explained it for נותר, because of lazy כהנים who might not finish eating in time. They do truly argue about the minimum size: one says a כזית, following the size of the איסור of eating, and the other says a כביצה, following the normal size for food טומאה. Then a new משנה asks whether one ברכה can cover both the קרבן פסח and the חגיגה (called זבח) eaten on the night of פסח. רבי ישמעאל says the פסח ברכה covers the זבח, but not the reverse. רבי עקיבא says each needs its own ברכה. The גמרא explains that the argument depends on the blood service: for רבי ישמעאל, זריקה (the חגיגה) is included in שפיכה (the פסח), but not the reverse. For רבי עקיבא, neither is included in the other.
