Can a law learned through one method of Torah derivation (היקש, גזירה שוה) go on to teach another case through a further method?

Overview

The amud opens by closing an earlier question with a teaching of דבי רבי ישמעאל. The גמרא then asks a series of questions about chains of learning: can a law learned by one method go on to teach through another? First it asks about a law learned by היקש teaching through a בנין אב. רבי ירמיה tries to prove from the north rule for אשם that it cannot, but the proof is rejected, because each offering, alone or paired with another, has a special feature. Next, רב פפא shows that a law learned by גזירה שוה can teach by היקש: the מעשר-money rule passes from שלמים to תודה, and רבינא defends this against מר זוטרא. Finally the גמרא asks whether a law learned by גזירה שוה can teach through another גזירה שוה. רמי בר חמא's proof from the תודה breads is knocked down by רבינא. רבא then starts a new proof from the bull of the כהן גדול, which is cut up like an עולה but not skinned, and links it to the bull and goat of יום כפור; that proof continues on the next amud.

Opening lines

מִדְּתָנָא דְּבֵי רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל.

From that which the school of Rabbi Yishmael taught.

דָּבָר הַלָּמֵד בְּהֶיקֵּשׁ,

A matter that is learned through a juxtaposition,

מַהוּ שֶׁיְּלַמֵּד בְּבִנְיַן אָב?

what is the law: may it teach through a paradigm?
