The north for שלמי צבור, the eating place of the כהנים' portions, and where קדשים קלים are slaughtered
Overview
The גמרא first looks for the source that שלמי צבור, the two sheep of שבועות, are slaughtered in the north. רבא rejects a היקש to חטאת, because a rule learned by היקש cannot be passed on by another היקש. He brings a direct היקש to עולה instead. The היקש to חטאת is then used to teach that only male כהנים eat שלמי צבור. אביי challenges this from the נזיר's ram, and the גמרא explains that the נזיר's היקש teaches that shaving after any of his three offerings is valid. A new משנה gives the rules of the תודה and איל נזיר, and the גמרא proves from 'a pure place' that the כהנים' portions may be eaten throughout ירושלים, following אביי's reading. Another משנה gives the rules of שלמים. A ברייתא then argues over whether slaughtering קדשים קלים in the north is learned from a קל וחומר or from a פסוק.

GEMARA:
מְנָא לַן דְּבָעֵי צָפוֹן?
From where do we know that it requires the north?
דְּתָנֵי רַבָּה בַּר רַב חָנָן קַמֵּיהּ דְּרָבָא:
As Rabba bar Rav Chanan taught before Rava:
״וַעֲשִׂיתֶם שְׂעִיר עִזִּים אֶחָד לְחַטָּאת״
"And you shall offer one male goat as a sin offering"

- Resolutionאביי: 'it' moves the portions to the Levite camp, and 'pure place' moves them to the Israelite camp
- Resolutionרבא: 'it' removes the portions completely, and 'pure place' brings them back into the Israelite camp
