Consecrating future rent, taking collateral for Temple debts and offerings, and the need for the owner's willingness (רוצה אני)
Overview
The amud begins by finishing a ברייתא about a rented house that was consecrated. Step by step, the גמרא shows that the case only works if the owner consecrated the future rent money. That fits רבי מאיר, who holds a person can consecrate a דבר שלא בא לעולם. A new משנה then teaches that בית דין takes collateral from people who owe ערכין, עולות or שלמים, but not from people who owe חטאות or אשמות. The משנה adds that although an offering must be brought willingly, בית דין may pressure a person until he says 'רוצה אני', and the same is true for a גט. רב פפא says the משנה's rule has exceptions: collateral is taken for a נזיר's חטאת, and not for a מצורע's עולה, which holds him back from purity. A ברייתא gives the source for forcing someone until he says 'רוצה אני'. שמואל teaches that an עולה needs the owner's consent even when a friend separated the animal for him. The amud ends as the גמרא begins an objection to שמואל from a ברייתא, which continues on the next amud.
