Agreement (דעת) when bringing another person's קרבן according to שמואל and עולא; a husband's protest (מודעא) against a forced גט; and how בית דין announces a sale of orphans' and הקדש property.
Overview
The גמרא finishes a ברייתא that seems to contradict שמואל: someone else's עולה or שלמים counts even without the owner's agreement. שמואל answers that the ברייתא is talking about the time of offering (שעת כפרה), while he meant the time the animal is set aside (שעת הפרשה). עולא holds the reverse: an עולה needs no agreement at שעת הפרשה, but every קרבן needs agreement at שעת כפרה. A second ברייתא requires agreement for all קרבנות, and each אמורא places it at a different stage. רב פפא sums up: the ברייתות don't clash with each other or with either אמורא, but שמואל and עולא truly disagree. Next, רב ששת rules that a husband's advance protest (מודעא) against a גט stays in force even if he later agrees, unless he clearly cancels it, as the משנה's words 'until he says' show. The פרק האומר משקלי ends. A new פרק opens with a משנה: בית דין announces a sale of orphans' property for thirty days and הקדש property for sixty days, morning and evening. The גמרא explains this timing and what the announcer must say, including who will receive the money.

whether with consent or without consent, he has fulfilled his obligation.
