Overview

The גמרא finishes a list of rules about which כהנים receive holy property. Plain חרמים may go to any כהן, but a field made חרם goes to the כהן of the משמר serving right now. This is learned through a גזרה שוה from גזל הגר, and a ברייתא shows where גזל הגר itself gets this rule. A field that passes to the כהנים at the יובל goes to the משמר serving when the יובל begins. If that happens on שבת, it goes to the outgoing משמר, and a ברייתא about יובל and שמיטה cancelling at the same moment supports this. Next, חזקיה בר בילוטי asks why movables are not compared to land. רבי אבהו answers that this comparison is a dispute between תנאים. A new משנה then teaches that חרמי כהנים cannot be redeemed, and records the dispute over where an unspecified חרם goes. It ends by explaining how a person can make a חרם of his own קרבנות and of a בכור, and how the payment is measured.
