Benefit from a פטר חמור after עריפה, and whether a food's prohibition counts as intent (איסורו חישובו)

Overview

On the previous amud, רבא set out to prove that even רבי שמעון forbids benefit from a פטר חמור after its neck is broken. His source is a ברייתא where רבי שמעון says forbidden-for-benefit items cannot become טמא as food, with בשר בחלב as the one exception. The גמרא first asks why רבי שמעון explains that exception with שעת הכושר, since he holds בשר בחלב is מותר בהנאה. The answer is that he gives one reason and adds another. רבא then finishes his proof: if the פטר חמור were permitted, it should have been listed too. The גמרא pushes back that the ברייתא may be talking about a case where nobody intended to eat the donkey. That raises the question of why the רבנן treat it as food, and the suggested answer is איסורו חישובו: its prohibition counts as intent. Several משניות are brought to test this idea, and one clearly shows the רבנן require intent for forbidden meat. So רבא concludes that no one holds איסורו חישובו, and he begins a new explanation that continues on the next amud.
