Which opinion of רבי יהודה stands behind רב's ruling on an animal slaughtered on שבת, and why רב silenced the תנא who recited about cooking on שבת

Overview

The גמרא wants to know which ruling of רבי יהודה stands behind רב's statement that an animal slaughtered on שבת may not be eaten that day. A comparison to a lamp lit for שבת is rejected, because the person set the lamp aside with his own hands. רב אשי instead points to the dispute about someone who cooks on שבת. רבי מאיר permits food cooked by mistake. רבי יהודה waits until after שבת. רבי יוחנן הסנדלר allows it after שבת only for others. The גמרא shows that our משנה, which compares שבת to יום הכפורים and calls the slaughter valid for everyone, fits רבי יהודה and not the other two. Next comes a story: a תנא recited before רב that food cooked by mistake may be eaten, and רב silenced him. After rejecting several explanations, רב נחמן בר יצחק explains that the תנא was teaching about slaughtering. רבי מאיר permits only food that was already fit to eat raw, not a slaughtered animal. The גמרא challenges this from the scholars' inference that רבי מאיר does permit a slaughtered animal, and it begins an answer that continues on the next amud.
