Finishing the derivation that תרומת מעשר works like תרומה גדולה, then a new משנה about produce or money set aside for separating תרומות ומעשרות, and when we must worry that it was lost
Overview
The amud opens by finishing a source: the פסוק speaks of two kinds of תרומה, so the rules of תרומה גדולה also apply to תרומת מעשר. Both can be taken by estimate and by thought, and the בעל הבית may separate both. Then a new משנה begins. Someone who sets aside produce for separating תרומות ומעשרות, or money for redeeming מעשר שני, may later separate with them on the presumption that they still exist. If they turn out to be lost, רבי אלעזר says he must worry 'מעת לעת'. רבי יהודה adds that wine set aside this way must be checked at three set seasons of the year. The גמרא asks what 'מעת לעת' means, and רבי יוחנן says it means counting back 24 hours from the check that found the items missing. A second explanation, in the name of רבי אלעזר ברבי ינאי, begins at the end and continues on the next amud.
Opening lines
בִּשְׁתֵּי תְּרוּמוֹת הַכָּתוּב מְדַבֵּר:
The verse speaks of two terumot:
אַחַת תְּרוּמָה גְּדוֹלָה
one is the great (standard) teruma
וְאַחַת תְּרוּמַת מַעֲשֵׂר;
and one is teruma of the tithe.
כְּשֵׁם שֶׁתְּרוּמָה גְּדוֹלָה
Just as the great teruma
