The answer is that רב does follow ר' יהודה, but first relations are a destructive act (מקלקל) under either understanding of the blood, so they are permitted anyway. Finally רב חסדא quotes a משנה in נדה about the nights given to a bride, ending at מוצאי שבת, to build a new challenge that continues on the next page.
