Unclear release phrases for wives and slaves, קידושין with a loan or its benefit, and gifts given on condition they be returned

Overview

The amud opens by finishing a list of phrases that do nothing, such as telling a שפחה "you are permitted to any man." רבינא proves from a ברייתא about a גט שחרור, using a קל וחומר, that a husband who tells his wife "הרי את לעצמך" has fully divorced her. Next רבינא asks whether "אין לי עסק בך" frees a slave. A ברייתא about an אונו, explained by רב ששת, shows that it does. Then אביי rules that קידושין with a loan does not work. קידושין with the benefit of a loan does work, but it is forbidden as a trick around רבית. The גמרא defines that benefit as giving her more time to repay. רבא's rule about money given on condition it be returned is challenged, and רב אשי restates it: such a gift works everywhere except קידושין, and רבא was quoted that way. The amud ends as רבא begins a new case about a woman who says "give a מנה to so-and-so," which continues on the next amud.
