The end of a teaching about גיהנום, the 'בבלים' in the משנה, the timing of the לחם הפנים on the שולחן, and whether כלי שרת make things holy at the wrong time.
Overview
The amud opens by finishing a teaching about גיהנום. Each 'lest you say' raises a wrong idea, and a פסוק corrects it, ending with the promise that the righteous get real blessing, not just rescue. The גמרא then explains that the 'בבלים' in the משנה who ate the שעיר raw were really Alexandrians, called 'בבלים' as an insult, and רבי יהודה is relieved. A new משנה teaches that the לחם הפנים and בזיכין must sit on the שולחן a full week, from שבת to שבת, and that leaving them longer does no harm. The גמרא then quotes a משנה in יומא about checking for dawn before slaughtering the תמיד, because a תמיד slaughtered at night once had to be burned. אבוה דרבי אבין adds that a bird עולה pinched at night or a מנחה whose קומץ was taken at night is also burned, because כלי שרת make their contents holy even at the wrong time. The גמרא refines this: at the wrong time the כלי makes something holy enough to be disqualified, but not holy enough to be offered. רבי זירא challenges this from the bread placed after שבת, and רבה answers that a night early is not 'too early,' but days early is. The amud ends as the גמרא begins one more challenge, which continues on the next amud.
