Which parts of מנחות, קרבנות and other מצוות hold each other back (מעכבין), and the sources for each, including the dispute over tying the לולב
Overview
The amud opens by finishing a question about burning the קומץ: according to the view that "על" can mean "next to," must it be literally on the wood? The question ends in תיקו. Then a new משנה teaches that for the קומץ, the flour, the wine and the oil, even a small missing part holds back the whole, and that flour and oil, and קומץ and לבונה, each hold back the other. The גמרא gives a פסוק as the source for each rule. A second משנה lists sets where every item is required: the goats of יום הכפורים, the sheep and loaves of עצרת, the לחם הפנים and its bowls, the loaves of the נזיר and the תודה, the items of the פרה אדומה and the מצורע, the four species of לולב, and several sets of sprinklings of blood. The גמרא finds a source word for each, mostly חוקה, הויה or כן יעשה. רב חנן בר רבא limits the לולב rule, and the גמרא shows his view matches the רבנן against רבי יהודה, who requires the species to be tied together. According to the רבנן, tying is only a way to beautify the מצוה (זה אלי ואנוהו). The amud ends as a ברייתא begins explaining why the sprinklings of other inner חטאות are also required, and that explanation continues on the next amud.
Opening lines
דְּעַל הָעֵצִים כְּתִיב.
for "on the wood" is written.
כִּי תִּיבְּעֵי לָךְ,
When should you raise the question?
אַלִּיבָּא דְּמַאן דְּאָמַר ״עַל״ בְּסָמוּךְ, מַאי?

הָכָא נָמֵי ״עַל״ בְּסָמוּךְ,
