Fixing a missing השם in a ספר תורה, and which ruling of רבי שמעון שזורי רבי חנינא was talking about

Overview

This amud finishes a ברייתא about how a סופר fits words at the end of a line. Then a new ברייתא asks what a סופר should do if he left out השם and already wrote the next word. Five תנאים answer, ranging from רבי מאיר, who says the whole sheet must be put away, to רבי יצחק, who allows wiping wet ink and writing השם in its place. רב rules like רבי יוסי that השם may be hung above the line. רבי יצחק בר שמואל rules that one may wipe and write. The גמרא explains that they stated the practice itself because some people mix up who said what. Next, רבי חנינא says the הלכה follows רבי שמעון שזורי everywhere, and the גמרא hunts for which of his rulings this was first said about. Each suggestion is rejected because that case already has its own recorded ruling. Finally רב פפא says it was about a chest, and רב נחמן בר יצחק says it was about wine.
