Topic
Business and work on חול המועד, the meaning of חילקא, selling spices versus fruit, and the start of the פרק about who may shave and launder on חול המועד.
Overview
The גמרא first brings a ברייתא that seems to support the 'trust' answer about bringing items home from a craftsman on חול המועד. That answer cannot explain taking items to the craftsman, so the גמרא returns to its first answer: one source is about ערב פסח and the other about חול המועד. A new משנה then allows covering drying figs with straw, and allows selling and certain work done quietly for the needs of the מועד. רבי יוסי says some workers were strict on themselves. The גמרא explains מחפין and מעבין. It then shows from a ברייתא that the strict workers did not work at all. אביי and רב דימי argue over what חילקא is. רב דימי's view survives one challenge, but a second challenge from the laws of vows is left as קשיא. רב הונא lets spice merchants sell openly, and the גמרא explains that the limits apply to fruit, not spices. The פרק מי שהפך ends, and the next פרק opens with lists of people who may shave and launder on חול המועד, a list that continues on the next amud.

וְהָתַנְיָא: מְבִיאִין כֵּלִים מִבֵּית הָאוּמָּן,
And so it is taught: One may bring items from the craftsman's house,
כְּגוֹן כַּד מִבֵּית הַכַּדָּר,
for example, a jug from the jug-maker's house,
וְכוֹס מִבֵּית הַזַּגָּג.
and a cup from the glass-maker's house.
אֲבָל לֹא צֶמֶר מִבֵּית הַצַּבָּע,
But not wool from the dyer's house,
