Whether a second קידושין can take effect after a divorce, compared to בר פדא's case of redeemed הקדש saplings; then the start of a new משנה about vows against 'seafarers' and 'land-dwellers'.
Overview
The גמרא tries to use בר פדא's rule about redeemed saplings to answer רב הושעיא's question. בר פדא holds that consecrated saplings become הקדש again after they are redeemed. רב הושעיא asked about a man who gives a woman two פרוטות: 'with one be betrothed to me today, and with the other after I divorce you.' The idea is that the second betrothal would take hold after the divorce, just as the saplings become holy again. רבי ירמיה wakes up and rejects the comparison. Quoting רבי יוחנן, he explains that saplings become holy again only if the owner himself redeemed them, not if others did. A divorced woman is like the case where others redeemed them. A separate report from רבי אמי in the name of רבי יוחנן confirms this distinction. Then a new משנה teaches that a vow against seafarers does not forbid land-dwellers, but a vow against land-dwellers does forbid seafarers. It also defines a seafarer as someone who sails far, not someone going from עכו to יפו. The גמרא reports that רב פפא and רב אחא בריה דרב איקא disagree about which clause that definition belongs to. It begins spelling out the first opinion, which continues on the next amud.

הַנּוֹתֵן שְׁתֵּי פְרוּטוֹת לְאִשָּׁה
One who gives two perutot to a woman
וְאָמַר לָהּ: ״בְּאַחַת הִתְקַדְּשִׁי לִי הַיּוֹם,
and says to her: 'With one, be betrothed to me today,
וּבְאַחַת הִתְקַדְּשִׁי לִי לְאַחַר שֶׁאֲגָרְשֵׁיךְ״,
and with the other, be betrothed to me after I divorce you.'
