Overview

The answer is that he agrees with רבן שמעון בן גמליאל on one point and disagrees on another. Next, רבי יצחק נפחא rules like רבי אליעזר about the window shutter. רב עמרם challenges him from a משנה, and the גמרא concludes that a recorded action (מעשה רב) carries the most weight. A משנה about moving covers on שבת follows, and the גמרא explains that the תנאים argue only about a special case: vessels attached to the ground, or, in another version, an oven cover. The chapter כל הכלים then ends. A new chapter opens with a משנה about clearing baskets for guests and for learning, and about which foods and bundles may be moved on שבת. The גמרא asks why the משנה mentions 'four' baskets when five are allowed, and רב חסדא answers. שמואל begins a different answer, which continues on the next amud.
