מוקצה cases from the משנה: a child holding a stone, a basket with a stone, moving impure תרומה (לצורך גופו vs. לצורך מקומו), and רבי יהודה's ruling on lifting nullified תרומה
Overview
The amud opens by explaining why a child holding a stone may be lifted but not a child holding a דינר: a father would pick up a fallen coin. A ברייתא then supports רבא: clothes that are worn count as part of the person, but clothes that are only carried are a load. Next, the גמרא asks why a basket with a stone inside is not a בסיס לדבר האסור. It answers step by step: the basket is full of fruit, the fruit would be ruined if dumped, and the stone plugs a hole in the basket. Then רב חסדא limits moving impure תרומה with pure תרומה to when the pure is underneath. A ברייתא seems to refute him, but he answers that the משנה deals with needing the fruit itself (לצורך גופו) and the ברייתא with needing the spot (לצורך מקומו). רבא supports this reading from the coins-on-a-cushion clause. Finally, the גמרא asks why רבי יהודה lets one lift out nullified תרומה on שבת without counting it as fixing the food. It tries linking him to רבי אליעזר and then to רבי שמעון, rejects both, and settles on רבי שמעון בן אלעזר. It then asks whether רבי יהודה really holds that view, a question that continues on the next amud.
