The end of the proof about שני עושה שלישי בחולין, the argument over תחומי שבת, and how בני ישראל sang שירת הים.

Overview

The amud opens by finishing a proof about what רבי אליעזר holds on whether a שני can make a שלישי in חולין. The proof uses his argument with the חכמים about linking pure and impure dough to separate חלה, together with a ברייתא that allows a middle piece as big as a כביצה. רב מרי rejects the proof: the argument might instead be about whether dough still owing חלה is treated like חלה. A second answer says the argument might be about whether one may cause impurity to חולין in ארץ ישראל. The גמרא then turns to another teaching from 'that day' in the משנה and explains that רבי עקיבא and רבי אליעזר בנו של רבי יוסי הגלילי disagree about whether תחומי שבת are דאורייתא or דרבנן. Next comes a three-way argument about how בני ישראל sang שירת הים: with a refrain, by repeating every word, or with משה starting and everyone singing together. Each view comes from a different reading of ״וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֵאמֹר״. The amud ends with teachings that even nursing babies sang at the sea, and that even unborn babies did. רבי מאיר begins bringing a פסוק for that last point, and the פסוק continues on the next amud.
