It defends the ברייתא's wording by comparing the pair ארוסה and שומרת יבם to the pair נשואה and כנוסה. רב פפא and רב נחמן בר יצחק then give other ways to explain the ברייתא: one by pointing to a particular תנא, and one by extending the oath (גלגול). Next, a new topic begins: whether a יבמה after מאמר may eat תרומה. רב חנינא's report of רבי יוחנן fits no תנא, so רבין gives a corrected version.
