The limits of מעילה after a מצוה and the exclusions for blood; the rule that the יום הכיפורים service must follow its order

Overview

The amud opens by finishing the question of why we cannot learn from תרומת הדשן that מעילה applies to every holy item after its מצוה is done. The answer is that two verses sharing the same unusual law teach nothing to other cases (שני כתובין הבאין כאחד אין מלמדין). For the רבנן the second case is the בגדי כהונה, and for רבי דוסא it is עגלה ערופה. For the view that such pairs do teach, the limiting words ״ושמו״ and ״הערופה״ block a general rule. The גמרא then explains that the three verses about blood each remove blood from a different law: נותר, מעילה, and טומאה. No verse is needed for פיגול, because blood is itself the מתיר. A new משנה then rules that the יום הכיפורים service must be done in order, and it explains what happens if the blood spills partway through the sprinklings. In the גמרא, רבי יהודה and רבי נחמיה disagree about which parts of the service the order rule covers. רבי יוחנן says both learn their views from one פסוק, and their readings are explained on the next amud.
