Partial or incomplete offerings outside the עזרה: קטורת and wine, lacking items, חציצה, a mixed קומץ, and the קומץ and לבונה

Overview

The amud opens by finishing the argument between רבי אליעזר and the רבנן about burning part of the קטורת outside: does putting an amount in a vessel make it one fixed unit? Following the view that the vessel does not matter, רבא shows that pouring wine outside makes one חייב whenever the amount fits some animal (six, four or three לוג), and פטור if it is less. רב אשי adds that the רבנן compare the same kind of service, burning with burning, but not pouring with burning. The גמרא then asks whether a loss that happens after an offering leaves the עזרה counts as 'lacking'. Two attempted proofs fail, because each source can be read as a loss that happened inside. Next, three answers explain why one is חייב for אימורים offered outside on top of meat, even though the meat seems to be a חציצה. A new משנה rules that a קומץ mixed back into its מנחה, then offered outside, still makes one חייב, and רבי זירא uses a גזירה שוה to show the שירים do not cancel it. Another משנה discusses offering only the קומץ or only the לבונה outside, and רבי יצחק נפחא's question about what the קומץ alone does to the שירים ends in תיקו. The amud closes with the start of a new משנה about sprinkling part of the blood outside.
