Cases where one offering covers many events: the נזיר, the סוטה, the מצורע and the woman with several births.
Overview
This amud finishes the list of cases where one offering covers many events. First, a פסוק teaches that a separate offering is needed for each different שפחה חרופה. Next, רב חסדא proves that the משנה's rule for a נזיר impure many times follows רבי יוסי ברבי יהודה, who holds that the new נזירות begins on the seventh day, and not רבי, who holds it begins on the eighth. The next משנה adds a husband who warned his wife about many men and a מצורע afflicted many times. Each has a 'זאת תורת' פסוק teaching one offering for many. The משנה's line about birds brought before a new affliction seems to require extra offerings. The גמרא fixes it to be about when the מצורע's poor or rich status is set, and brings a three-way dispute that all comes from the word 'בטהרתו'. The last משנה covers a woman with several births or miscarriages. The גמרא gives its source and rewords a ברייתא about what 'זאת' excludes. It then shows that רבי יהודה counts from the first fetus even with twins. The amud ends as a new question is introduced, which continues on the next amud.
