Betrothal on condition of no vows or blemishes, and the משנה about remarrying a wife divorced because of a vow
Overview
First the גמרא finishes the earlier discussion: the girl may do מיאון and leave. Then a ברייתא teaches that if a man betroths a woman on condition that she has no vows, and a חכם later releases her vows, she is betrothed. If the condition was no blemishes and a doctor heals her, she is not betrothed. The reason is that a חכם uproots the vow from the start, while a doctor heals only from now on. A second ברייתא says that even with the חכם she is not betrothed. רבא explains that the first ברייתא follows רבי מאיר, who holds a man does not mind his wife being embarrassed in בית דין. The second follows רבי אלעזר, who holds he does mind. The גמרא shows the source of this argument in a משנה about a man who divorced his wife because of a vow, where רבי יהודה, רבי מאיר and רבי אלעזר each say when he may take her back. Finally the גמרא asks for רבי יהודה's reason and begins to quote a פסוק, which comes on the next amud.
