How far גלגול שבועה reaches, and the start of the משנה on חליפין (barter)

Overview

This amud finishes the קל וחומר from סוטה that proves גלגול שבועה works in money cases. Next, a ברייתא of רבי שמעון בן יוחי teaches that it works even for uncertain claims, because the סוטה oath itself is based on suspicion. The גמרא then asks how far גלגול can reach. רב says the plaintiff can even make the defendant swear he is not his slave. That example is rejected, because calling someone a slave is a punished insult. רבא replaces it with 'swear you were not sold to me as an עבד עברי.' After defending רבא's example against two challenges, a new משנה begins about חליפין: in a trade, once one side takes possession, the other side becomes responsible for his item. The גמרא asks whether the משנה means a coin can work as חליפין. רב יהודה starts to reread the משנה's wording, and his answer continues on the next amud.

Opening lines

שֶׁלֹּא נִיתְּנָה לְהִתָּבַע בְּעֵד אֶחָד –

which cannot be triggered by one witness

מְגַלְגְּלִין,

we still extend the oath

מָמוֹן, שֶׁנִּיתָּן לְהִתָּבַע בְּעֵד אֶחָד –

money, which can be triggered by one witness

אֵינוֹ דִּין שֶׁמְגַלְגְּלִין?

is it not logical that we extend the oath?
