The ban on חימוץ for מנחת נסכים and לחם הפנים, the holiness of measuring vessels, and the ban on burning offering leftovers on the מזבח or its כבש

Overview

The ברייתא taught that ״אשר תקריבו״ adds one more offering to the ban on letting a מנחה become חמץ. The גמרא challenges each opinion. Against רבי יוסי הגלילי (מנחת נסכים), it argues that oil cannot make dough rise, and ריש לקיש answers that water may be added. Against רבי עקיבא (לחם הפנים), it argues that he holds dry measures are not holy, and רבי יוחנן answers by switching the names. The גמרא then brings the ברייתא where רבי יאשיה and רבי יונתן argue over which measuring vessels were anointed, and explains that their dispute is about the word ״אותם״. רב פפא and אביי discuss the kneading bowl, and the גמרא explains why a holy עשרון would never be swapped for an ordinary one. Then a new ברייתא learns from ״ממנו״ that leftovers of offerings may not be burned on the מזבח, and רב ששת explains how שתי הלחם and לחם הפנים are included. Finally, רבי יוחנן and רבי אלעזר argue whether bringing such leftovers onto the כבש alone makes a person liable.
