An אשם מצורע slaughtered שלא לשמו, and how a מנחת העומר whose קמיצה was done שלא לשמה can go on the מזבח
Overview
The amud opens by finishing the discussion of רב's ruling that an אשם מצורע slaughtered שלא לשמו is invalid. A ברייתא says such an אשם is still offered on the מזבח, and the מצורע just needs another one, so רב is refuted with a תיובתא. The גמרא then turns to ריש לקיש's ruling: a מנחת העומר whose קמיצה was done שלא לשמה is valid, but its leftovers stay forbidden until a second עומר is brought. The question is how its handful can go on the מזבח if the new grain is still forbidden to ישראל. רב אדא בר אהבה answers with the rule אין מחוסר זמן לבו ביום, meaning something that becomes permitted that same day already counts as permitted. That answer survives a challenge from a ברייתא comparing birds and מנחות. It also survives רב ששת's challenge from the מצורע's oil, which רב פפא answers by saying the מצורע's order is special. But רב פפא's own challenge, about a חטאת slaughtered before the אשם, leaves the rule in trouble. So רב פפא gives a new reason: ריש לקיש holds that dawn itself permits the new grain. He begins to prove this from a joint statement of רבי יוחנן and ריש לקיש, which continues on the next amud.

דְּאָמַר מָר:
As the Master said:

If he shaved after one of the three of them, he has fulfilled his obligation.

They raised an objection: a leper's guilt offering that was slaughtered not for its own sake,

or none of its blood was placed on the thumb and big toe,
