Saying both 'ratified' (קיום) and 'nullified' (הפרה) about a vow, and saying 'ratified for you today'
Overview
This amud continues רבה's questions about a husband or father who speaks about a vow using both הקמה (ratifying) and הפרה (nullifying). First the גמרא answers an earlier question from the מחלוקת of רבי מאיר and רבי יוסי about a person who names an animal as a תמורה for both an עולה and a שלמים. Then it adds that when the husband openly makes the הקמה depend on the הפרה, even רבי מאיר agrees the הפרה works. Next רבה asks what happens if he says 'ratified and nullified' at the very same moment. The גמרא answers from רבה's own rule: what cannot work one after the other cannot work at the same time either. Finally רבה asks a new question: does 'ratified for you today' quietly mean 'nullified tomorrow'? That question continues on the next amud.
