Topic
מעילה in הקדש חמץ during פסח, and the rules for mixtures of חמץ during and after פסח (רב, שמואל, רבי יוחנן)
Overview
The amud first finishes a dispute about someone who uses חמץ belonging to הקדש during פסח: did he commit מעילה or not? Three explanations are given. רב יוסף says it depends on whether something that will only be worth money later (דבר הגורם לממון) already counts as money. רב אחא בר יעקב says future value counts for everyone, and the dispute follows רבי יהודה and רבי שמעון about whether חמץ is permitted after פסח. The גמרא challenges him with another statement of his, and answers that he retracted it. רב אשי says future value does not count for anyone, and the dispute follows רבי יוסי הגלילי and the רבנן about benefit from חמץ during פסח. Then a new topic begins: a mixture with a small amount of חמץ in it. רב is strict during פסח, partly by a גזירה, and after פסח he forbids the same kind, following רבי יהודה. שמואל is more lenient, and רבי יוחנן measures everything by נותן טעם during פסח. Both permit everything after פסח, following רבי שמעון.
