Mixed intent in a קרבן פסח: one עבודה or two, a פסח slaughtered during the year with לשמו ושלא לשמו, and שינוי בעלים during the year

Overview

The amud opens by finishing an attempt to answer רב פפא's question: is the משנה's case of mixed intent about one עבודה or two? The גמרא tries to prove it from the סיפא, but rejects the proof, so that question is not settled here. Next comes an איבעיא about a פסח slaughtered during the rest of the year with both לשמו and שלא לשמו intent. רב דימי argues it is פסול by comparing it to ערב פסח, but רבי ירמיה rejects his comparison. רבא then rules that it is כשר: since שלא לשמו can override the default לשמו status, it can also override a spoken לשמו. רב אדא בר אהבה challenges this from the case of לאוכליו ושלא לאוכליו. רבא answers that a פסח has no fixed default group of eaters, because people may join or withdraw until the שחיטה. Finally, a new איבעיא asks whether שינוי בעלים during the year makes a פסח כשר the way שינוי קודש does. רב פפא says yes, and רבא begins to reject that comparison, an answer that continues on the next amud.

Opening lines

אֶלָּא לָאו: בַּעֲבוֹדָה אַחַת,

Rather, is it not about one rite?

וּמִדְּסֵיפָא בַּעֲבוֹדָה אַחַת —

And since the latter clause is about one rite,

רֵישָׁא נָמֵי בַּעֲבוֹדָה אַחַת!

the first clause is also about one rite!

מִידֵּי אִירְיָא?!

Are these comparable?!
