Mistaken and forced חליצה and גט, and identifying the parties for חליצה and מיאון
Overview
A ברייתא teaches that a 'mistaken' חליצה is valid, and the גמרא asks what that means. ריש לקיש says it is when the יבם is told that doing חליצה will marry him to her. רבי יוחנן rejects this, because חליצה needs both sides to intend it. He explains instead that it is a חליצה done in return for a promise of two hundred זוז, and a ברייתא with a story about רבי חייא supports him. Two stories follow. In the first, רבי חייא בר אבא tricks a יבם and then has him do a proper חליצה. In the second, רב פפא corrects אביי to use the two-hundred-זוז method, and he proves from the case of an escaping prisoner that the woman need not pay, since she can say 'I was fooling you.' Next, a ברייתא compares mistaken and forced חליצה and גט. The גמרא explains that a forced act is valid only if the man ends up saying 'רוצה אני,' and brings a proof from forcing someone to bring a קרבן. Finally, רב הונא and רבא disagree about whether a court must recognize the people before doing חליצה or מיאון, and how that affects writing documents about it.
