How jobs were assigned in the תמיד (the פייס, and who collects the blood), and the order in which the limbs were brought to the מזבח.
Overview
The amud first finishes the question of whether every עבודה needs its own פייס. רבי יהודה's ברייתא about the מחתה and the קטורת is read both ways, but each reading is pushed off. Then a ברייתא of רבי חייא settles it: the winner of the תמיד draws twelve כהנים along with him. Next, the גמרא asks who does the קבלה of the blood, the שוחט or the זורק. בן קטין's twelve spouts for the כיור prove that the זורק collects, and רב אחא בריה דרבא supports this from a משנה's wording. The amud then turns to the order of carrying the limbs to the מזבח, with four views: walking, skinning, cutting up, and quality. רבא explains that our תנא and רבי יוסי הגלילי both go by quality, one by amount of meat and the other by fattiness. Finally, the גמרא explains why the leg goes with the head, and brings a פסוק showing that the head and פדר go first. Its question about a second mention of פדר continues on the next amud.
