The טומאה of the פרים ושעירים הנשרפים, the פרה and the שעיר המשתלח: when carriers' בגדים become טמא, when the animals make food and drink טמא, and whether they need הכשר.
Overview
The גמרא finishes רבי אלעזר's question about an offering that is partly out of the עזרה: do we follow the limb, or the whole animal? It ends in תיקו, and so does רבה בר רב הונא's version about three of five carriers being outside. רבי אלעזר then asks about an offering that went out and came back. רבי אבא בר ממל tries to answer from a משנה about carriers on poles. רבינא rejects that proof, because the פסוק says 'afterward he may come into the camp', so a carrier must be outside to become טמא. A ברייתא follows in which רבי מאיר and the חכמים argue whether the שעיר המשתלח makes food and drink טמא. The גמרא explains both views through the rule of the school of רבי ישמעאל about הכשר. רבי אלעזר then rules that the burned bulls and goats, while still inside the עזרה, need הכשר like ordinary food. Finally, a question is raised about the size of נבלת עוף טהור needed to make food טמא according to רבי מאיר. Its answer begins at the end of the amud.
Opening lines
בָּתַר רוֹב אֵבֶר שָׁדֵינַן לֵיהּ,
Do we decide it by the majority of the limb,
וְהָא נְפַק לֵיהּ;
and that has gone out;
אוֹ דִלְמָא בָּתַר בְּהֵמָה שָׁדֵינַן לֵיהּ?
or perhaps we decide it by the animal?
תֵּיקוּ.
Let it stand.
